YOU CAN SEE THAT BASICALLY REPUBLIC HAS SUBMITTED THE SAME PRICE AS THEY WERE BEFORE, AND WASTE CONNECTIONS WAS A LITTLE BIT OR COMMUNITY WASTE CONNECTIONS WAS THIRTY ONE DOLLARS, SO PER SERVICE HALL PER MONTH OR PER MONTH. SO I GUESS IT'S REALLY UP TO COUNCIL WHAT THEY WANT TO DO. WE, YOU KNOW, IF WE GO WITH THESE RFP, WE WOULD NEED TO DO IS NOTIFY WITH PART OF THAT MOTION. SO I MEAN, JUST FOR CLARIFICATION REPUBLIC WASTE, IT APPEARS THAT IT'S GOING TO COST THE RESIDENTS APPROXIMATELY TWENTY DOLLARS TO CHANGE A [INAUDIBLE] OR THE OTHER AT THIRTY ONE DOLLARS. BUT MY ONLY AM I READING THIS CORRECTLY SAY THAT PUBLIC FURTHER INDICATED THAT WE WOULD GET 10 CUBIC YARDS OF BULK FOR AIRPLANES PER RESIDENT MONTHLY AT $2.18 A MONTHS VERSUS I AM LOOKING AT 10 DOLLARS [INAUDIBLE] THAT'S CORRECT IS WHAT THE BID SHEETS APPEAR. IT SEEMS LIKE A SIGNIFICANT I MEAN, I KNOW A LOT OF OUR RESIDENTS HAVE BULK TRASH, BUT IT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE A SIGNIFICANT ISSUE WITH REPUBLICANS IN TERMS OF PICKING UP [INAUDIBLE]. WE'RE JUST LOOKING AT THE COST. WE WANTED IT TO BE SIGNIFICANTLY GREATER THAN THE OTHER. AND MORE CLARIFICATION ON THAT OR THAT'S JUST THE WAY THEY DID IT. IN REPUBLIC, WHAT THEY'VE DONE IS AND THEIR SUBMITTAL. THEY HAVE SUBMITTED A NEW BULK KIND OF PLAN WHERE YOU WOULD GET PICKED UP ON THE DAY OF YOUR TRASH SERVICE. SO IF YOU WERE THURSDAY TRASH SERVICE, YOU GET PICKED UP ON THURSDAY OR FRIDAY WOULD BE FRIDAY. AND WHAT THEY'RE LOOKING AT DOING IS [INAUDIBLE] THE CITY OFF INTO QUARTERS. SO EACH WEEK THERE'S A CERTAIN GROUP BECAUSE RIGHT NOW THERE'S SO MUCH BULK WASTE BEING PUT OUT. THEY JUST CAN'T MANAGE, MANAGE IT IN A TIMELY MANNER AND IT JUST GETS BACKED UP, [00:15:05] BACKED UP, BACKED UP AND PEOPLE KEEP ADDING. SO THIS IS KIND OF SOMETHING RICK AND I HAD ACTUALLY TALKED ABOUT SIX MONTHS AGO. AND, YOU KNOW, THEN WE WENT OUT FOR THE RFP AND THAT WAS ACTUALLY PUT IN THEIR RFP FOR THAT SO I THINK THAT WOULD. SO HAVE WE ALWAYS BEEN AT [INAUDIBLE] AND I'M ASSUMING THAT'S KIND OF BEEN THE STANDARD. YES, MA'AM. OK. AND SO REPUBLIC'S OFFERING AT [INAUDIBLE] AND COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFERING AT TEN. AND I COULDN'T CATCH THE LAST PART BECAUSE THE AUDIO ISSUES. BUT CAN YOU REPEAT JUST ONE MORE TIME, WHAT YOU WERE SAYING ABOUT WHAT REPUBLIC'S OFFERING THIS TIME AROUND THAT'S DIFFERENT THAN PREVIOUSLY? WHAT THEY'RE DOING IS, IS THERE GOING TO BE DOING IT ON YOUR TRASH DAY SO IF YOU GET A PICKUP ON THURSDAY, YOUR BULK WOULD BE PICKED UP ON THURSDAY AND YOU'LL HAVE A SET WEEK OF WHEN IT'S PICKED UP. SO REALLY, IF YOU BREAK DOWN THE CITY THE WAY WE'RE LOOKING AT IT, WE'RE LOOKING AT ABOUT 300 HOMES EACH SERVICE DAY INSTEAD OF TRYING TO DO HALF THE CITY. I THINK IT'S GOING TO HELP THE CITY BE ABLE TO COME BEHIND US AND SAY, HEY, THEY COMPLETED THOSE 300 HOMES, IT'S ALL CLEANED UP AND THEN THE FOLKS ARE PUTTING IT OUT BEHIND US. IT'S GOING TO STAND OUT, BUT IT'S REALLY A THEORY OF WE'RE SECTIONING IT OFF AND WE'RE ADDING ADDITIONAL SERVICE DAYS TO YOUR CALENDAR. I ACTUALLY SAW ONE OF YOUR TRUCK GUYS WHO KNOCKED OVER A TRASH CAN GET OUT AND CLEAN IT UP, WHICH WAS THE FIRST TIME I'D SEEN THAT BECAUSE I'VE SEEN THEM KNOCK THEM OVER BEFORE AND LEAVE THEM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. SO OBVIOUSLY SOME CONVERSATION THAT HAS BEEN HAD WITH YOUR DRIVERS HAS MADE A DIFFERENCE BECAUSE IT'S BEEN REALLY OBVIOUS THROUGHOUT THE DUBLIN AREA BECAUSE WHEN THEY THOSE TRASH CANS ENDED UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD, IT'S OBVIOUS THAT JUST PUT IT, I DIDN'T LEAVE HERE REALLY HAPPY. THE LAST TIME I WAS HERE, I COULD TELL. I COULD TELL TO ADD TO COUNCILMAN SLAUGHTER IN THE SPRING HILL AREA AS WELL. I'VE NOTICED A BIG DIFFERENCE IN LITTLE TWIGS AND THAT SORT OF THING IN THE PICKUP THAT WERE KIND OF PICKED UP THAT THE ACTUAL DRIVEWAY WAS PRETTY CLEAN. SO I APPRECIATED THAT AS WELL BECAUSE USUALLY I WIND UP GOING OUT THERE AND PICKING ALL THAT UP, AND IT WAS NICE THAT THEY DID A BETTER JOB ON THAT AND TOOK IT SERIOUSLY. THANK YOU. I'M WONDERING IF IS ANYBODY ELSE INTERESTED IN ALTERNATE ONE WHERE THEY BREAK THE BULKY WASTE UP INTO TWO COLLECTIONS? TO ME, THAT IT SEEMS LIKE THAT WOULD SOLVE SOME OF THE PROBLEMS OF PEOPLE PUTTING IT OUT HALFWAY IN BETWEEN CYCLES, AND AT LEAST IT WOULD BE PICKED UP AND WOULDN'T BE. MY CONCERN WOULD BE THAT WE WOULD JUST HAVE BULK TRASH OUT FOUR WEEKS OUT OF THE MONTH BECAUSE THEY'LL BE LIKE, WELL, MY NEXT ONE'S COMING UP NEXT WEEK, SO LET'S GO AHEAD AS OPPOSED TO HAVING THE ONE DATE THAT CAN BE ENFORCEABLE. AND I THOUGHT MAYBE THIS WOULD BE A SOLUTION TO AT LEAST CLEANING IT UP TWICE A MONTH INSTEAD OF ONCE A MONTH. BUT YEAH, AND THAT OPTION ACTUALLY IN OUR I THINK IT WAS FOUR YARDS FOR ONE, BUT OURS IS FIVE YARDS PER COLLECTION. THAT'S WHAT A LOT OF CITIES ARE GOING TO BECAUSE IT'S A MANAGEABLE IT'S A MANAGEABLE AMOUNT. AND YOU KNOW, WHEN YOU GET INTO THE SUMMER AND THE LATER FALL INTO THE WINTER, OBVIOUSLY THERE ISN'T MUCH OF THAT. SO WOULD IT MAKE SENSE MAYBE TO DO THAT ON A PERIODIC BASIS, YOU KNOW, JUST IN THOSE TIME FRAMES, IS THAT SOMETHING THAT WE COULD PROPOSE? I WORRY THAT IT WOULD JUST ADD MORE TO THE TO THE TRASH SITTING OUT, AND I DO HOPE WE START SEEING THE ENFORCEMENT BECAUSE I THINK UNTIL WE START ENFORCING THE ORDINANCE, PEOPLE ARE GOING TO CONTINUE TO PUT THINGS OUT. WE CAN NEGOTIATE. WE COULD LOOK AT THAT, THOUGH. SO YEAH, WE I'M NOT SURE HOW MANY PEOPLE IN PARKER THERE ARE. YEAH FOR CLARIFICATION, IT WAS $100. IT WAS ABOUT $110 I THINK WE WERE UP TO AN HOUR AND THERE WAS NO TONNAGE CHARGE ON THERE, SO WE TOOK THE HOURLY RATE DOWN AND TO $5 A TON IS THE DIFFERENCE OF THE TWO. SO THERE IS A LITTLE BIT OF AN INCREASE ON THAT ONE. SO THERE IS AN INCREASE SLIGHTLY. IT WAS $110 AN HOUR. IT'S DOWN TO $100 AND THE FIVE DOLLARS A TON IS JUST TRYING TO RECOUP SOME OF OUR COSTS. WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH REPAIR WORK IS GOING TO BE NEEDED ON THESE VARIOUS STREETS THAT WE HAVE SELECTED TO REALLY UNDERSTAND WHERE WE COULD GO WITH THE BUDGET THAT WE HAVE . SOME OF THE PROBLEM AND THE PROBLEMATIC AREAS ARE IMPACTED DIRECTLY BY ONGOING CONSTRUCTION OF VARIOUS RATES.
